Nike Celebrates 52 Years with Alternate Grey and Pink Dunk Low

In 1971, Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman faced a legal dispute with Onitsuka Tiger, which led them to shift their focus from Blue Ribbon Sports to a new production model. That’s when Nike was born. Even though the Swoosh and branding were officially trademarked in 1972, May 30, 1971, is recognized as the first official date of operations.

Nike is marking its 52nd anniversary in style with a special release: the Nike Dunk Low “52” as a tribute. The sneaker is accompanied by a selection of Nike Sportswear designs, including the Vomero 5 and another Dunk Low of the same name in an alternate blue colorway.

The Nike Dunk Low “52” features pastel pink accents on the tongue tags, laces, lateral TPU Swoosh overlays, and semi-translucent rubber outsole. Against a white base, light grey leather overlays and a cool blue shade on the medial plastic Swoosh add a touch of elegance. The sneakers come with an additional set of grey laces. The release date has not been announced yet, but more information is expected soon. Keep an eye on our official Twitter account for updates.
